Sonja Schenk is a painter, filmmaker and installation artist who resides in Los Angeles. She participated in the "Erotica" group show at Arthouse, a part of the 2002 Eastside Art Crawl. She has exhibited films and video work at festivals and galleries, including the AFI festival, New Langton Arts in San Francisco and Artists Space in New York. She has an MFA in Film from USC and a BA in Visual Arts from U.C. San Diego, where she studied with painter and film critic Manny Farber, video artist and activist DeeDee Halleck and filmmaker Jean-Pierre Gorin.
